The Spell of a Salesman

Have you ever wondered after buying a product, you aren't sure why you had bought it in the first place. Then, I assure you that you were under the Spell of the salesman.
  • Intro
Have ever seen a Salesman introduce myself will always start with a wish like Good Morning or Good Afternoon. Then, they play the record of which company they are from after telling their name.

  • Short Story
This is the part where you start to fall his Spell. He gives a short description of the product and beats around the brush of what the product is, etc.,

  • Pricing & The Hoax of Discount
The  next will be showing you the price of the product. This step is done  in more and more outlets like the car & mobile showrooms. The original price would be really small in size and a cross would be put on it and the price which they give you would be twice as big as the original price making you search for the original price.

But, while selling a product the salesman will show the MRP and tell you the discounted price. If you're a math person you will probably find out that the discount he says is not true. However, people like me aren't great at math additionally, in my case I tend to trust people. To explain this let's take an example, 
The rate of the book  = 4200
The rate of Discount = 80% 
The price which the
 salesman claims to = 1400
 sell the book after
 the discount
 Let's do simple mathematics,
4200*80/100 = 3360
4200 -3360 = 840
I think you get it. Right! He claims to give a 80% discount but, the discount is actually a 67% only.

  • Feeling of Owner
Till this time you will be having a demo piece in hand now he hands you a new product which will be yours after the payment is made. This gives you a feeling of Ownership of the product.

  • Cash or Cheque
This is the perfect finish. Have you ever wondered why this is asked being said not all of us carry cheque books with us all the time. For this to be explained let's take another example,
He you ever wondered while someone asks us Like,
Will you have something to drink? The first answer we say usually be no or I don't want. However, when we are asked
What do you want tea or coffee?
We casually pick anyone this happens to more people and if you don't believe me try monitoring yourself closely.
