The ideal amount of water in take for your body would be, 
8 glasses of water is advisable ( i.e.,) 8*250 ml = 2 liters of water daily
It can though go for about 2.5- 3 liters. However, if the intake of crosses about 5 liters it's is very dangerous and you tend to bloat.
